Patrice shares her wisdom on how cognitive science applies to the classroom environment. Patrice will be drawing on the themes in the invaluable education book that she co-authored, ‘Powerful Teaching: Unleash the Science of Learning’.

Patrice is presenting to us from USA and has over 25 years experience teaching in Middle School, alongside working closely with cognitive scientists for over 15 years, supporting them in turning research into teaching strategies.

Martin Robinson 6th August 2020

Martin Robinson, presents a sessions on curriculum design and cultural mobility.

Martin spent twenty years as a teacher in London and has since presented and delivered workshops at a range of different events including ResearchEd. He is an author, including ‘Trivium 21c’ and more recently ‘Athena versus the machine’. Martin is an expert on curriculum design and is an advocate for the traditional methods of education, the liberal arts.


Blake Harvard 22nd July 2020

Blake Harvard presents a session on ‘Desirable Difficulties’. Blake, AP Psychology teacher from Alabama, USA, is the author of the fantastic blog ‘The Effortful Educator’ and is a regular on the ResearchEd community. He has been teaching for over a decade and has an affinity for all things cognition and psychology. Blake’s ability to bridge the gap between research and the classroom makes this a must see presentation for anyone involved across the education sector!
